কালো কুহেলিকা পার হয়ে এসে'
আলোয় ধন্য হয়েছি (আমি)
কোন লোকলাজ নেইকো হেথায়
ঘৃণা-জুগুপ্সা থাকিতে না পায়
নিন্দা-স্তুতির ঊর্ধ্বলোকেতে
সে চরণে ঠাঁই পেয়েছি (আমি)
কুল-শীল বোধ মান-অপমান
শঙ্কা-তরাস যত অভিমান
অতীতে যাহারা বেঁধে’ রেখেছিল
তাদের বাঁধন ছিঁড়েছি (আমি)
Translation
Roving round and round the universe,
I've arrived at one location...
Coming to far shore of black fog,
With light have I been blessed.
Here there is no bashfulness mundane;
Hatred and scorn get no scope to remain...
In the heaven above blame and praise,
Shelter at His feet have I attained.
Sense of birthright or culture, respect or calumny,
Fear or fright, and whatever vanity...
All things that had bound me formerly,
I have torn apart their fastening.
