অম্বর মাঝে ডম্বরু বাজে
কোন্ সে রুদ্র এসেছে আজ
জটার বাঁধন খুলিয়া গিয়াছে
তাণ্ডবেরই সেজেছে সাজ
বিষাণ বাজিয়ে ভীষণ ধ্বনিতে
পিনাকী নাচে কোন্ ভাবে মেতে'
আগাইয়া চলে অশনি দ্রুতিতে
মেরু দ্রাঘিমায় হানিতে বাজ
হে রুদ্র ভৈরব থেমে' যাও
তোমার বিভূতি সবারে বিলাও
যাহা চাও দোব কৃপা করে' নাও
হে শান্ত শিব ত্রিলোকরাজ
হে গঙ্গাধর হে নটরাজ
Translation
Amid sky a damru is resounding;
Which is that Rudra, now has come?
Matted locks, their knot has started opening;
With tandav garb, they have adorned.
Horn having sounded with its resonance severe,
The Bow-Wielder dances, seized by which fancy?
He proceeds with lightning-speed,
On north and south poles thunderbolts to toss.
Hey the fearsome Bhaerav, do get calm;
Your special power, please share with all.
What You want, we will give; take it, being cordial...
Hey the tranquil Shiva, King of three regions,
Hey the Gaunga-Bearer, hey the Dance Lord.
